Children's Ministries

Clubhouse Ministries are created for our kids, birth through fifth grade.

Our Children’s Ministries are designed for children, newborn through 5th grade. The VNC Children's Department team is passionate about creating an environment that is safe, age-appropriate and fun, where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way, allowing children to grow in their relationship with Christ.

Your first visit

We want to make your first visit to our church run as smoothly as possible so that you and your family are able to worship without distractions.

First time guests are encouraged to visit Guest Central, located right inside entrance 2 of our main lobby. There we will meet your family, get some information about your child for our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead you and your child to their age-appropriate room.

When filling our one of our family information sheets for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Child's school grade
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Family email address
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child

How check-in works

Before Service: On your future visits to VNC, you will be able to use one of our check-in stations to print name tags for your child. After entering your phone number into our check-in system, you can select your child's name and the class they will be attending. You'll also have the option to select your cell phone number to receive text message alerts in the event that your child needs you during the service. Once you've finished the check-in process, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear one of the name tags while you hold on to the matching tag for pickup.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

What to Expect from Our Nursery

Children birth through one year old spend time in our nursery while their parents worship in the Worship Center or serve in other areas of the church on Sunday mornings. In our infant nursery, babies can be cuddled and cared for in a quiet environment. Our One Year Old Room is designed for more mobile children with age appropriate toys.

If you're a nursing mom, we also offer a Nursing Moms Room. It's located right around the corner from the nursery and provides a quiet space for you to nurse while watching a live feed of the Sunday morning services.

What Preschool Parents Can Expect

On Sunday mornings, our preschool kids learn Bible Truths that are reinforced through songs, stories, games, and crafts. Preschoolers also enjoy snacks and a time of creative play with their friends.

What to Expect for Your Gradeschool Student

On Sunday mornings, our gradeschool kids are split into two groups: Kindergarten through Second Grade and Third through Fifth Grade. Both groups have an opportunity to learn about God through singing, Bible stories, object lessons, and games. Our Gradeschool Shepherds lead our kids in a small group setting based on the lesson for the day.

FamJam and Family Events

FamJam is a four night, high-energy, family-focused event that takes place each summer. Join us each evening as we sing, dance, learn, and play in a hands-on, jam-packed experience for the whole family! Wednesday nights are a little different as we wrap thing up with a block party, complete with food and inflatable games. Mark your calendars for next year's FamJam, happening June 9- 12, 2024!

Throughout the rest of the year, our Children's Department hosts events designed for the entire family. Each event is unique, but we can guarantee that your family will have as they learn about God, grow closer together, and connect with other families.
